At less than 10 lbs, the EverGo can go up to 8 hours between charges (depending on the flow setting). You can finally be free of those heavy cumbersome oxygen tanks and have the freedom to be spontaneous. The EverGo is simple to operate with its easy-to-use touch screen interface and requires very little maintenance. It is approved for airline travel and comes with an adapter, built into the included DC power cord, for use in airplanes (contact your air carrier for details on availability).
Patient FAQs | EverGo™
How does the EverGo™ portable concentrator work (produce oxygen)?
The Respironics EverGo portable concentrator separates oxygen from room air and delivers it through a single lumen cannula. Room air contains approximately 21 percent oxygen and 79 percent nitrogen. By passing the air through a series of molecular, bacterial and dust filters, EverGo removes nitrogen and stores nearly pure (therapeutic) oxygen.
Is the EverGo portable concentrator right for me?
Only you and your doctor can determine if EverGo is the right oxygen concentrator for you. If you are active and require a highly portable source of oxygen, EverGo is ideal.

Batteries and Electrical Power
How many hours can EverGo batteries last before they need to be recharged?
EverGo’s two-battery system helps to ensure long operation duration times. For example, at a setting of 2 and 20 breaths per minute (BPM) with 2 fully charged batteries, the device can be expected to run for 8 hours. Under similar conditions at a setting of 4, 5, or 6, it can run for 4 hours.
The duration times shown in the table below are based on two fully charged batteries. If only one battery is used, duration will be approximately half of the times shown in the chart.

How can a patient tell how much battery life is remaining?
There are two methods for determining the remaining battery life. If a battery is inside the unit, the touch screen interface will indicate the remaining battery life of each battery. If a battery is outside of the unit, an LED indicator shows the amount of charge by percentage.
What is the battery recharge time?
Approximately 2-3 hours per battery
How can batteries be recharged?
Batteries can be charged one of two ways:
If the battery or batteries are inside EverGo, they can be charged by plugging into an AC or DC power source (wall outlet or in the car, for example) using either the AC or DC power cord.
If the batteries are outside EverGo, batteries can be charged using the external battery charger (optional accessory) that plugs into the wall.
How much electricity does EverGo use while plugged into a wall outlet?
110 watts at 100 VAC (charging)
120 watts at 240 VAC (charging)
70 watts (not charging)
What is the maximum oxygen capacity of EverGo?
The maximum oxygen delivery of the EverGo is 1050ml/min.
How long does it take EverGo to reach specified oxygen purity?
At start-up, the EverGo dose setting number will blink until the unit reaches normal oxygen purity, typically 2-3 minutes. It can take longer depending upon actual breath rate, setting and temperature.
What flow settings are available for EverGo?
EverGo is a pulse dose device, delivering oxygen in settings of 1-6 in ½ setting increments.
Does EverGo offer continuous flow?
No.
Is EverGo a demand or pulse device?
EverGo is a pulse device and delivers a bolus of oxygen in the first 0.3 seconds of inspiration.
Is EverGo recommended for stationary night-time use?

Respironics recommends that a patient considering EverGo for night-time use undergo overnight oximetry testing.
Is EverGo approved for pediatric use?

Flying with Oxygen
Flying with supplemental oxygen equipment such as Respironics EverGo requires advance planning. You should check with your airline for their guidelines prior to your trip. For example, most airlines require patients to carry a prescription and a written statement from a physician allowing you to fly. Other guidelines may include:
- Confirming travel arrangements with the airline 48 hours in advance
- The ability to hear the portable oxygen concentrator alarms and see the alarm light indicators, to take the appropriate action in response to these warnings, or travel with a companion capable of doing so
- Notifying the airline upon check-in, and the flight attendant upon boarding, that you plan on using a portable oxygen concentrator onboard the airplane
Many airlines have special assistance coordinators to help you through the process.
Other Air Travel Tips
- Ask for an aisle seat near the restroom.
- Drink fluids but avoid caffeine and carbonated drinks; they will make you feel bloated.
- Be familiar with the latest airport security screening policies and plan for extra time for inspection of your EverGo.
How do I get an EverGo portable concentrator?
Use of EverGo requires a physician's prescription. Please contact your local homecare equipment provider for more information.
