It has been replaced by the Respironics System One REMstar Plus The REMstar Plus M Series with C-Flex brings to the table great features on an entry level CPAP. It has the ability to connect to an integrated heated humidifier, comes with Respironics Encore Smart Card for data storage and the ability to run for extended periods of time on a DC (battery) source. The M Series is a move to a less medical design and the REMstar Plus displays that nicely. All but the most commonly used controls are hidden under a door on the top of the machine. The pressure outlet is in the back of the machine and allows the tubing to be routed from the rear to keep it hidden. Even the well thought out humidifier design hides a water chamber to maintain the less medical motif. As you would expect, the REMstar Plus offers lighted buttons and back-lit display for use in the dark. All of the CPAP’s functions controls and reporting can be performed using the buttons. Respironics smartly incorporated a temperature selection dial on the top of the humidifier to control humidity. The dial also includes the off position so you can use it in a cool passover mode if no heat is desired or use it while powered from a DC (battery) source.
